Top 10 Things I’ve Learned since I got Married

For years I have watched the majority of my friends get married or they were married when i met them. For the most part,i heard this common phrase,”you aint missin nothin”. And i always thought that they said that because their marriages wasnt right. So i had convinced myself that my marriage would be different so that I wouldnt have to say that. YEAH RIGHT! Being married has been an experience and Lord help me its been anywhere between a blessing and an ongoing nitemare. But in the time that i have spent with Brian,i have learned a few things:

1. Compromise is important
2. Mutual respect is essential
3. Effective Communication takes time
4. Space is a must
5. Cuddling can sometimes take the angry away
6. My clean and His clean are 2 different things
7. Good for the Goose,Good for the Gander comes into play often
8. He’s more sensitive than I am
9. The thought of me fixing something scares him while the thought of him decorating terrifies me
10. In all of this,i really wasnt missing anything
